The latest version of Amazon Music The iOS and Android app adds a feature called Car Mode. When the app detects a Bluetooth connection to a car or you activate the function manually from the menu, it switches to a simplified interface. It has streamlined controls (including swiping), custom presets, and larger text. You will also have voice control through Alexa.
Amazon suggests that it will always be a cinch for drivers to find new music while in car mode. The application operates predefined playlists, stations and albums, which can be personalized. The company says this should reduce long navigation times.
This function makes it easy to listen to music in the car while reducing the risk of distracted driving. This should prove useful for drivers without a recent infotainment system or Auto echo, and it works on all Amazon Music subscription levels. Amazon notes that you should only use the Music app when permitted by law.
Spotify got a similar car mode since 2019, with the same aim of reducing the risk of distraction in a vehicle. Spotify also simplifies the user interface when the mode is on. It removes eye-catching album artwork and activates larger control buttons.
