Interview with Gen2 on La Capitale

Hi guys! We’re happy to log in today and learn more about Gen2! Can you tell us more about your business and the opportunities you are looking to seize?

Our goal is to become a leader in advanced camera-based content capture and delivery systems. A key target market is the live action camera market, particularly cameras used in professional sports and the like to deliver live content to fans through traditional distribution networks and, increasingly, the Internet. These cameras and their operating systems often offer little or no directional control over image capture and use older radio technologies with limited capacity. As a result, images often degrade as athletes move, and very few cameras can be turned on at the same time. While these cameras offer a 1st person perspective, they do so in a way that is of limited use, namely reruns, as the production team never knows where the camera will point at any given moment, they is therefore relegated to the selection of video segments in post-production to obtain usable content. The size of these existing cameras also limits their practical utility. Our solution was to create an ecosystem of live action cameras capable of delivering professional video live and in a format suitable for use in multiple applications, while addressing the limitations of current technology discussed above. To achieve this, we created a miniature 3CMOS video engine and micro cameras to capture impressive first-person videos suitable for professional broadcasting.

From AI to advanced radio and deep learning neural networks, we use advanced technologies to deliver powerful solutions that enhance live streaming. For example, our “Iris” Micro Body Camera System is a high-quality, high-resolution wireless camera set that can be attached directly to any set of sports jerseys. This will allow viewers to put themselves directly in the shoes of their favorite athletes and experience the action live in a way that was not previously there. Despite its small size, the “Iris” camera system uses fully capable camera stabilization technology, which removes unwanted camera jitter and always keeps the view centered on the target. In developing this main application, we have sought to optimize our technology in various other applications, particularly in industrial environments. To this end, we have sought to merge our technology with processes where verification and logging from product creation to product storage are of primary concern. This actually led us first to the cryptocurrency and blockchain realm, via a company advertised to help support the development of a gold-backed digital currency. Our camera systems will help validate and log the entire value chain from gold mining to vaulting and gold storage by integrating with blockchain technology. This will include both fixed cameras and our advanced “Iris” cameras which will be combined into a powerful and integrated system.

So by 2020 and beyond, how will your project impact the crypto space or the world?

In addition to our support for the blockchain-enabled, gold-backed digital token discussed above, we recently announced that we are developing our ‘Iris Token’. This digital token will enable a convenient payout mechanism so fans can see the game from the personal perspective of their favorite players and immerse themselves in the real-time sports action, with views previously seen only by the players themselves. . Using the digital token can help deliver new use cases to make sports content more “real” for end users. The ability for a fan to pay with a token to literally see the training ground or the game from the perspective of their favorite sports star is a compelling proposition. We intend to leverage our cutting edge technology and crypto tokenomics to create a unique new tweak in the “pay per view” market. Beyond crypto and our core sporting focus, we will expand our reach into high growth markets such as zero emission “EV” public and private transport companies, security, law enforcement and other vertical industrial sectors. This move will not only better serve our shareholders, but will also help the company on several fronts.

Who are the people behind the scene?

I (CEO, Daniel Serruya) joined the company as CEO in July 2017 in order to build a winning company that was a leader in both technology and operational and strategic execution. As a seasoned business development consultant, I have often worked with ownership groups to develop and sometimes restructure their organizations to generate significantly greater revenue, maximize operational efficiency, and provide geographically large businesses. ‘expanding across North America and beyond. Therefore, there was a natural fit for the unique opportunity to help guide Gen2 to an exciting cutting edge technology leadership position that could develop into a large, profitable and sustainable business franchise. To that end, I have been very fortunate to have been able to assemble an exceptional team to help make this promising opportunity a reality.

Gary Shields joined the company as CTO in July 2017. He immediately began an in-depth review of the products on the market, available technologies and associated patents. This helped determine where improvements could be made to the technological status quo and what could be the next evolution in live sports broadcasting and advanced camera-based content capture and distribution systems. As an accomplished technical designer and innovator, he has already worked on a number of cutting-edge technologies in various contexts. This includes his work as a new project design manager as well as software and electronics engineering for a defense contractor who is a global leader in underwater technologies.

Michael Kovacocy is currently the company’s COO and Head of IR. Michael started as a special advisor on strategic and capital restructuring initiatives in late 2019 and was the architect of the market capitalization recovery strategy. As COO, he is now focused on leveraging core Gen 2 technology for a variety of verticals. Michael has extensive and varied experience working in the capital markets and industry, having previously been both a senior seller-side equity analyst at a large bank in London and a senior executive at British Telecom, where his last role was as a leader in mobile application proposals. Rick Pearson joined the company in late 2019 as vice president of broadcasting. Rick is working closely with Gary to implement our new camera technology in the field and to coordinate all cross-platform broadcasts. As a former tour professional on the PGA TOUR and KornFerry.com tours, Rick brings a valuable and unparalleled perspective. After playing professional golf for 15 years, Rick spent another 15 years working for PGA TOUR Entertainment as their technical department manager.
