Windows 365 will be priced at $ 20 per month

When Windows 365 was announced for the first time, the price of the subscription was unclear, although Microsoft blurted out that it could be priced at around $ 20 per month. For those who are wondering about the price and are hoping for a more formal answer, you’ll be happy to know that it will indeed be priced at $ 20 per month.

$ 20 per month is actually not too bad a price when you consider the amenities Windows 365 has to offer. For those who are not familiar, Windows 365 is a new service announced by Microsoft that allows users to stream Windows. This will be useful for Mac users who might need to access Windows, especially from its new M1 Mac computers where it would be nearly impossible for consumers to get their hands on a copy of the ARM version of Windows.

It would also be useful for remote workers who might need to access a company’s computer system from their home, and it would be easier and cheaper for Microsoft to set it up for you than to pay an IT administrator. That being said, Windows 365 is currently only available to corporate users, so if you’re a regular consumer, you might have to wait.

Plus, $ 20 is the cheapest option available which will give you 1vCPU, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and 12GB of outgoing data. There are more powerful options with more data on offer, so depending on your needs, you might be able to get by paying only $ 20 per month.

YouTube is testing a new “Premium Lite” subscription

As many of you know, YouTube has a subscription tier called YouTube Premium, but it looks like the company is experimenting with the idea of a cheaper option called Premium Lite. This is according to an article posted3 on ResetEra by user jelmerjt, where they discovered the option when they tried to cancel their Premium subscription.

According to the post, “It’s quite interesting. I just tried to cancel my YouTube Premium subscription and now Google is talking to me about Premium Lite. Costs 6.99 euros per month (instead of 11.99 euros for Premium) and simply gives you an ad-free YouTube experience. You therefore do not benefit from any of the other Premium features.

Basically you would only pay to remove the ads, whereas with the Premium subscription you will get ad-free viewing experience as well as ad-free YouTube Music listening experience, background playback and downloads. offline. We have to say that even at its price, it still seems a bit expensive to remove the ads.

Anyway, for now, it seems like a test limited to certain parts of the world, but we imagine that if all goes well, YouTube should eventually expand the program to cover more markets, so keep an eye out if it does. is something you might be interested in.

IKEA launches air purifier that’s also a table

Sometimes, before we buy a new gadget, we have to consider whether or not our houses have space for them, especially if you live in a small apartment. This means that sometimes we have to sacrifice the size of our TVs, choose to use a soundbar instead of floorstanding speakers, etc.

However, if you are looking to furnish your home with an air purifier but don’t want to sacrifice your available space, then maybe IKEA could have the answer for you. The company recently launched the “Starkvind”, in which one of the models is a side table in which the air purifier is integrated.

As you can see in the photo above, at a glance you might think it’s just a regular side table, but it actually has a dual function, which we think is more like cool. The air filtration system used by IKEA is a three filter system that can capture particles like hair and dust, as well as 99.5% of airborne particles measuring less than 2.5 microns. It can also deal with pollutants like formaldehyde as well as odors.

Starkvinds are smart devices, but you’ll need to purchase a separate $ 35 hub that will let you control it through the app. Starkvind air purifiers are priced at $ 129 and $ 189 respectively and will be available in black or white in October.

Google’s Stadia Controller + Chromecast package is now permanent

One of the great things about Google Stadia is that because it streams games, you can literally play the game on any device that supports it, like your phone, tablet, PC, or even your TV. In fact, last month Stadia launched for Android TV and to tempt gamers, Google created a package that offered a discounted price for those who bought a Stadia controller with a Chromecast with Google TV.

It was believed that this package might be a temporary offer to get people interested and act as a form of marketing as well, but it may have turned out to be more popular than Google had anticipated. The company is now making the package a permanent fixture, which means it will be one of the official Stadia packs future customers can look forward to.

This package will now be known as the “Play & Watch with Google TV Package”. So how much will it cost? For those who like it, it looks like this package will be priced at $ 100, which is about $ 20 less than if you bought it separately. For context, the controller is priced at $ 70 while the Chromecast with Google TV is priced at $ 50.

However, if you think it’s still a bit overpriced for your liking, then Google is offering an $ 80 plan that will come with the old Chromecast Ultra and the Stadia controller, so it’s an option to consider if you want to. save a little Continued.

Google confirms its Pixel 6 phones will be powered by their own chipset

For years it has been said that Google could look to develop their own chipset for their mobile devices, much like what other companies like Apple, Samsung and Huawei have done. It looks like they were finally successful as the company has since somehow confirmed the Pixel 6 series and its new Tensor chipset.

According to Google, “The team that designed our silicon wanted to make Pixel even better. For example, with Tensor, we thought through every element of the chip and customized it to run Google’s computer photography models. For users, this means entirely new features, as well as improvements to existing ones.

The company adds, “You’ll see it in everything from the completely redesigned camera system to voice recognition and more. So whether you’re trying to capture that family photo while your kids aren’t standing still, or you’re communicating with a parent in another language, Pixel will be there – and it will be more useful than ever.

In addition to confirming the Tensor chipset, Google also confirms that there will be both a Pixel 6 and a Pixel 6 Pro. They also confirmed the design of the phone, which is what we have seen in previous leaks. While the company doesn’t dive into the details, it does note that the rear-facing cameras have been upgraded with new sensors and lenses that are too large to fit in a traditional square, which is why they chose this particular design.

The company is expected to make the full announcement with full details this fall, so come back and see us if you’d like to find out more.

Bill and Melinda Gates are officially divorced

Image of the article titled Bill's Single Again, Folks

Photo: Jeff Pachoud (Getty Images)

It finally happened. After 27 years, millions of dollars and some lucrative book deals between them, Bill and Melinda Gates finalized her divorce Monday, marking the end of one of the healthiest power couples of our time – or at least, Previously healthy. Since the two announced their impending separation last May, some pretty … disgusting stories about Bill have started to spring up, including details about his. relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and the background of questionable behavior with women at its service. Even the New York Post jumped into the fray (various times)! Needless to say, if this guy is to return to the dating scene, he’s going to need a serious image upgrade. Fortunately, I am here to help.

I am by no means a professional dating coach, but I a m a professional to set up my straight friends with my straight friends. In the old country I would probably be known as a chadchanit, which roughly translates to “someone who will change your Tinder bio in exchange for a loose cigarette.”

He can probably afford a dime a dozen cigarettes, but I’ve decided (in the spirit of philanthropy) to give Bill some freebies to add to the dating app profile he most likely has. Girls, he’s available.

Star Wars Lukę Skywalker Mandalorian Hot Toys Baby Yoda Action Figure

Jedi Luke is here and ready to go.

Jedi Luke is here and ready to go.
Photo: Hot toys

In 2015, fans entered Star Wars: The Force Awakens with many questions—asd near the top of the list was “What’s up with Luke Skywalker?” Fans reportedly only have clues in this movie and would have to wait two more years to find out. his fate in 2017 Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Yet he was an old Luke. A beaten Luke. A Luke with a story we haven’t seen.

Then it is only in 2020, when the character appeared at the very end of The Mandalorian season two, that fans have seen the Luke they’ve truly dreamed of for decades. He was a lively young Luke. A Luke at the height of his Jedi abilities, having just defeated an Emperor and redeemed his father—and about to start a journey to try and bring back the Jedi. Ultimately, we now know it fails, but Hot Toys lets you bring home the iconic Luke of your dreams in the form of a brand new collectible.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Luke Skywalker in 1/6 scale comes in two versions. There is a standard version with new head sculpt, Jedi cape, LED light –the lightsaber, the base, the backdrop and even Grogu himself. Then there is also a Deluxe Edition which has all of this plus a battle damaged Dark Trooper bust. so you can reenact the memorable moment where Luke crushed them with the Force. Below you will see images of both. But see all photos of the standard version (which costs $ 285) on this link, and everything from the deluxe version (which costs $ 330) on this link.

It’s not yet known if this version of Luke Skywalker will appear in season three. of The Mandalorian when this will be presented in (most likely) end of 2022. But we imagine that he should play some role because if Grogu and Din Djarin are not reunited, Why do we even watch this show in the first place ?

Oh, and whether or not you want to deposit $ 300 on another version of Luke Skywalker, you can read more about how the character came back to Star wars later this month, when a new special is released on Disney + how are youprinciple at length in this unforgettable final scene.

A cheaper YouTube premium could soon arrive

A photo of the YouTube Premium Lite homepage on an Android phone

There is a cheaper version of YouTube Premium being tested overseas, and it’s really enticing.
Photo: Florence Ion / Gizmodo

YouTube Premium is a solid option if you want pay to get through its often heartbreaking advertising. But that’s about $ 12 a month on top of a whole slew of other subscription services that you’re probably already paying for. The price includes access to YouTube Music, offline downloads, and background playback. But for anyone who doesn’t want those extras, the price of the current subscription may be too high.

YouTube is working on acmore compact version of YouTube Premium which avoids the additional features in favor of blocking advertisements. It’s called Premium Lite, and it’s currently tested in a few European countries, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

You can technically visit the Premium Lite page now. If you are visiting from an IP address outside of the regions mentioned above, you will get a splash screen telling you that no offers are available. But with the help of a VPN app that connected me to the servers in Amsterdam, I got to the screen prompting me to sign up for YouTube Premium Lite.

A screenshot of the YouTube Premium Lite homepage

Log in as if you live in the Netherlands and you will see the homepage to sign up for YouTube Premium Lite.

A user in the Reset Era forums initially discovered the existence of YouTube Premium Lite. YouTube has confirmed its existence at The edge with the following statement:

In the Nordic countries and the Benelux (excluding Iceland), we are testing a new offer to give users even more choice: Premium Lite costs € 6.99 / month (or local equivalent per month) and includes ad-free videos on YouTube

YouTube Premium currently costs € 12 per month in Europe, which is roughly the same price as in the US, considering the conversion. Premium Lite costs just over half the price and will allow ad-free viewing on YouTube on all platforms, including desktop, iOS, Android, smart TVs and game consoles. It will also eliminate advertising from the YouTube Kids app, which may be worth it for some parent’s peace of mind.

Of course, kinda like how To tasteWell promised us in the 90s that it was as delicious as a cookie full of calories – which turned out to be a hell of a lie –YouTube Premium Lite will not have all the skins of the current Premium level. There will be no background playback or offline downloads, and you will not have access to YouTube Music.

It is not clear if YouTube Premium Lite eventually find its way to other markets, but IIt will be interesting to see how Google the prices for families and students. Currently, families of up to five members pay $ 18 per month for YouTube Premium, and students pay $ 7. I would gladly pay for a family plan for all of my family, even the baby, if that means I never get to see another plot ad.
